The asus 4g-ac68u does not cover the 700mhz band (band 28) for either optus or telstra. it does support their other bands though, and most cell towers will support multiple channels. you may be fortunate though, there is a bios/firmware recovery tool on the 4g-ac68u support page for firmware updates that fail. now i cannot guarantee it will.
