Question: q: 10.10.1 installing software update stuck it has been a couple of hours now with my imac 2010 sitting on "about 4 minutes". i had a similar experience installing the os to begin with but this looks different.... Hi, i downloaded the latest software/security update, os x (mavericks) 10.9.2, from the mac app store. i'm using a mac air. but after it restarted and the screen shows "installing software update", the progress bar has stopped well, progressing.. I got a notification to update the itunes v12.2.1.initially had lots of download going on so the download was slow.later after completing the windows downloads the itunes update is simpply stuck at one place it doesn't resume the download..
